Vintage Books
A few years ago, my father offloaded to me hundreds, if not thousands, of his vast collection of books. He told me that he had bought them over the course of his lifetime in the hope that, one day, he would get time to sit down and read them all.
Unfortunately, he had realised that that was never going to happen, and so he wanted to pass on the challenge to me. While I’m not entirely confident that I will rise to that challenge, I had the bright idea that I could not only try to read them but also share some of the most interesting or eye-catching of them with you.
So here is a selection from my father’s book collection, chosen not entirely at random:
