Today, I’m thrilled to share that Pushing the Wave, 2017–2022 is officially available for sale! This collection marks the culmination of five years of writing, reflection and exploration, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to finally share it with you.

As I sit here reflecting on the journey that led to this book, I realize how much it’s been shaped by the moments, ideas and experiences that have shaped me over the years. These pieces were first published in the Thoughts and Pieces section of Pushing the Wave and each one has been reworked, updated and annotated for this release. The process of revisiting them was a reminder of how much has changed in my life, and also how much remains the same in the human experience.
Pushing the Wave_Dog Days Are Here Again
Dogs days are here again, and images from Antibes, France, taken in 2009, from Pushing the Wave 2017–2022.
In this collection, you’ll find pieces that explore everything from the quiet beauty of everyday moments to the existential questions that keep us up at night. There are essays that reflect on the nature of creativity, stories that dive into personal experience, and pieces that explore our shared humanity. It’s a mix of humor, insight and personal reflection—an honest look at the moments that have shaped my understanding of the world.

What excites me most is how Pushing the Wave 2017–2022 combines two things I hold dear: writing and visual art. Interspersed throughout the essays are photographs and illustrations, many of which were taken during my travels through Britain, Europe and Buenos Aires. Each image was chosen to complement the themes of the essays, adding another layer to the story I’m telling.
Pushing the Wave_Return to Vienna

For those who have been following my work on Pushing the Wave over the years, I hope this collection offers a more intimate, fully realized experience. For new readers, I hope you find these pieces to be a window into my world—a world that I hope you’ll find as thought-provoking, funny and reflective as I do.

The book is now available for purchase, and I’d love for you to take a look. Whether you’re interested in creativity, travel or just the musings of someone trying to make sense of life, there’s something in Pushing the Wave 2017–2022 for you. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts as you read.
