Scarlatti – Euridice dall'Inferno

Today, I’ve been listening to an album of music by Alessandro Scarlatti, performed by Ars Lyrica Houston.

They present première recordings of two works – Euridice dall’Inferno and La concettione della Beata Vergine – alongside Cello Sonata No. 2 in C Minor and the Toccata in A Major.

It’s a wonderful collection, with elegant and refined performances that nevertheless carry emotional weight.

You can read more about it on Naxos.com, or you can listen below.

Escape, the debut thriller, is out now.

No Way Home and Dear Lucifer and Other Stories are also out now.
