No Return

This week, I finished the sixth and seventh chapters of my work in progress on Monday, and yesterday I wrote the eighth. I must have been putting in some energy, as the carriage return arm of the Hermes typewriter I have been using broke mid-sentence (which I was rather sad about as I love working on it).

So, I had to swap over to this beast, the machine on which I wrote my debut novel, Escape. Although I had to change the ribbon before I got started, as the old one was too dried out. It's an extremely reliable and tough machine, and was used in a typing pool in its youth. I hope it's enjoying its retirement tapping out the first draft of novels for me.
