About
I’m L.A. Davenport, a writer and storyteller fascinated by the interplay of science, history and the human experience. Born in Cork, Ireland, I pursued my studies in Medical Sciences and Social Anthropology at Cambridge (Emmanuel College) before embarking on a diverse career in publishing and journalism.
Over the years, I’ve edited financial journals, reported on groundbreaking medical research across Europe and the U.S., and written novels, short stories, essays and reflections that explore the complexities of modern life. My work is driven by a curiosity about the world and a desire to share stories that inform, challenge and inspire.
When I’m not writing, I divide my time between Lincolnshire and the Côte d’Azur, where I enjoy walking, collecting typewriters and immersing myself in literature and history. Join me here as we delve into ideas, narratives and the many ways they shape our understanding of the world.
